I bought it to use in 1.17.1, it says it was made for a older version of minecraft, will it cause any issue? is there a way to use in 1.17?
Just manually enable it :) When you go to select it you can choose "Enable Anyway" and it will work. The pack format is correct, the MCMETA is just not "current" so it says that.

Yea you select that, make sure you have Optifine installed.
I actually have the latest version of optifine installed and running, i have a beautiful sky but no aurora :)
Are you running anything else with it? Sometimes a mod or shader can conflict
nope full vanilla :/
I actually use your pack from patreon now, still cant see aurora haha
Huh.. Thats really confusing. I am not sure if there is something conflicting or a graphical issue, as no one else has had issues
