Advanced filtering, replacement methods, and code improvements
Lyra has received a large update, and has now moved on to version 1.0.2. These are some of the things that has been done:
- Improved Chat Reader
- The chat reader now reads messages better, and has different stop types and replacement methods.
- You can now replace the whole message with something nicer, you can configure in your config.yml or you can replace specific words with a specified symbol, like * for censoring the word in the sentence.
- Improved Regex Filtering
- The profanity list filter is now deprecated and has been replaced by a faster, and more accurate regex based filtering method. You can configure the words in the filter file. The new filter ID is “regex-filter”.
- Documentation
- We are working on documentation! As our configuration library currently doesn’t support comments, it’s kind of hard to configure the plugin without knowing the values that are supported for each thing. Contact us through Discord for free configuration help!
- Configuration is updated automatically when you run your new plugin jar!
Thank you for using Lyra!

v1.0.1 - Bug fixes, spam filtering and togglechat
A new version of Lyra has been released - version v1.0.1
- Prefix is now finally customizable to give Lyra your own personalization to match your server. You can edit the configuration file in the “config.yml” file in the lyra folder.
- You can now toggle the chat using the introduced /togglechat command. The command should automatically register on the latest versions.
- A spam filter has been implemented, and you can configure the amount of milliseconds using the config.yml file. 1000 millis equals to 1 second, and it defaults to 5! You can bypass this by using the lyra.bypass permission.
- A couple of bug fixes have been introduced, including some code that wasn’t really optimized and has been changed to further improve speed and efficiency.
- Fixed a couple of GUI related issues, including some clicks that were not registering on the latest and supported version of Minecraft.
Remember to update your server software to be able to use the GUI based interface. The GUI can be accessible on most versions, but might result in some issues due to it not supporting newer items introduced in the 1.13+ versions.
